Erica Vigen, Senior Product Manager for Real Estate Analytics at Clear Capital, has been recognized as a 2024 Woman of Influence by HousingWire – a prestigious recognition that celebrates women making significant contributions to the housing industry.
Erica joined Clear Capital in July 2022 and has since become an integral part of the team. She is also a leading voice for Automated Valuation Model (AVM) adoption within the industry. By developing reliable and understandable measures of confidence, she is enabling AVM adoption by demystifying the statistics that have, to date, made AVM adoption and use so complex.
As the product leader for analytics tools at Clear Capital, Erica oversees AVMs, price trend models, and photo intelligence products. Specifically, she has played a pivotal role in the growth of key products like ClearAVM™ and ClearProp® and has spearheaded the development of innovative solutions such as the Rental AVM for accurate rent estimates and the Property Analytics API, which provides consistent valuations from prequalification to closing.
Beyond her product development achievements, Erica is deeply committed to the equitable use of property analytics. Recently appointed as Chair of the AVM Forum within MISMO, she is dedicated to establishing standards for AVM use in credit decisions – a crucial task as these tools are currently being evaluated for compliance by agencies such as the CFPB.
Reflecting on her recognition and her approach to problem-solving, Erica shared, “I’ve always been driven to make the lending process more efficient. When lenders and borrowers faced discrepancies between prequalification and underwriting valuations, it inspired the creation of the Property Analytics API to ensure consistency and a more streamlined lending experience.”
